Switch looks to build new data centers in Las Vegas Valley
Switch has filed plans with the city of North Las Vegas to develop a 486,250-square-foot data center complex on approximately 176 acres in Apex Industrial Park. The project, named Switch Core 2.0 Phase 1 Campus, includes two data center buildings, a substation, and other components. The proposal has not yet been scheduled for review by the Planning Commission or City Council.

This development follows Switch's acquisition of roughly 546 acres in Southern Nevada for approximately $463 million through several transactions since late last year. The majority of this land, nearly 493 acres, was purchased in Apex Industrial Park for $376.5 million, an area about 25 miles northeast of the Las Vegas Strip.
North Las Vegas spokeswoman Kathleen Richards confirmed that the proposal has not yet been scheduled for a Planning Commission or City Council meeting. Switch, a Las Vegas-based company founded by Rob Roy, did not provide a comment regarding the story.
