Legacy Investing, a developer based in Virginia, is proposing the construction of a 20-megawatt data center along with a multi-use development at the former Star Tribune printing facility located in Minneapolis's North Loop neighborhood. The firm is set to present its plans during a North Loop Neighborhood Association (NLNA) meeting on Wednesday, attended by Legacy Investing leadership, including Managing Partner Daniel English and Vice President of Development Ari Chernikoff.

While the property sale is still pending, Legacy Investing has already initiated the approval process with the City of Minneapolis. The NLNA has not yet taken a formal stance on the project.

Recognizing potential community concerns, David Crary, Vice President of the NLNA, stated that the association aims to educate the public on the implications of a data center. The NLNA is also collaborating with the University of Minnesota's Minnesota Design Center (MDC) to host community workshops and will present a summary report to residents, developers, and city leaders.
