Pulaski supervisors approve data center ordinance amendment
Pulaski Township supervisors approved a zoning ordinance amendment to regulate potential data center development within the municipality. Although supervisors are not in favor of data centers, they passed the amendment to control future proposals through zoning, as advised by their solicitor.
The Pulaski Township supervisors in Pennsylvania have approved a zoning ordinance amendment aimed at establishing regulations and conditions for any future data center proposals within the municipality. Despite none of the supervisors being in favor of a data center coming into the township, they opted to control potential development through zoning, according to Township Solicitor Lou Perrotta.
The action ensures that while data centers are not actively sought, the township has a framework in place to manage them if a proposal emerges, providing a level of control over their operation and impact.
