The tool allows users to search for data centers by entering an address, city, or zip code. Search results are color-coded to differentiate between data centers that are planned for future development and those that are currently operational. Additionally, a toggle feature enables users to filter results by urban, suburban, or rural areas. Below the interactive map, a filtered list provides details on all nearby data centers.
In an effort to expand its comprehensive statewide database, The Texas Tribune is actively soliciting information from the public regarding any data centers currently being built near their communities. Residents can submit information via a dedicated form on the Tribune's website, where further work on this topic can also be found.
