Persisterhood to hold Earth Day meeting

The Persisterhood organization is set to host its annual Earth Day meeting on Wednesday, April 22, in St. Joseph, Missouri, continuing a tradition that began in 2017. This year's program, titled "From Boom to Bust — AI Data Centers’ Impact on the Workforce and Environment," will address the growing concerns surrounding the development and operation of AI data centers. The public meeting is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. at the East Hills Library Theater, located at 502 N. Woodbine Road. Liz Simmy, representing the Missouri Workers Center, is slated to be the keynote speaker, offering insights into the potential economic and ecological effects of these technological facilities on the region.
