Investigation underway after shots fired into Ind. counselor's home, threatening note left

Indianapolis City-County Councilor Ron Gibson's home was attacked by a gunman early Monday morning, with shots fired into the residence. Gibson and his son were home at the time but were unharmed. Fellow council members, political parties, and the local opposition coalition "Protect Martindale-Brightwood" have condemned the violence. Protect Martindale-Brightwood clarified that any messaging at the scene was not affiliated with their organization, emphasizing their commitment to "peaceful, community-led advocacy" based on concerns over community voice, environmental impact, and neighborhood stability.
