Amazon and Constellation reached a 20-year agreement supporting the continued operation and expansion of the Calvert Cliffs Clean Energy Center in Lusby, Maryland. The agreement will help fund more than $3 billion in infrastructure improvements across the 1,790-megawatt plant and add 190 megawatts of generating capacity between 2030 and 2032.

Amazon will receive power supply support for its operations across the PJM regional grid, while electricity generated at Calvert Cliffs will continue flowing to the grid. Constellation said the agreement provides financial certainty to relicense the plant for another 20 years and supports future advanced nuclear development as data center and AI-related electricity demand increases.
