Residents of Allen County, particularly those living near Google's Project Zodiac campus in southeast Fort Wayne, gathered to discuss concerns about the data center's effects on air quality, wetlands, wildlife, energy affordability and overall quality of life. Members of the Protect Allen County Coalition said neighbors have received insufficient information from Google and public officials about pollution, construction disruptions, land acquisition, energy use and security plans.

The gathering included peaceful opposition to Google's request for additional diesel generators at the campus. Coalition members said they want to build community support and identify solutions for residents affected not only by Google's project but also by potential nearby developments, including a nuclear project in New Haven and the AE Lulu transmission project.
