The Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy (MCEA) is moving forward with its lawsuit against the City of Pine Island, Minnesota, regarding the city's proposed Project Skyway Data Center. A virtual scheduling conference for the case is set for Thursday, June 18. The MCEA initiated the lawsuit in October 2025, challenging the adequacy of the city's environmental review for the data center development.

Last month, a Goodhue County judge granted a temporary restraining order, which has effectively halted any construction by Ryan Companies US, Inc., the company responsible for developing the data center. The ongoing legal battle is slated for a full court trial in February 2027.
