Although Project River was not on the city council's official agenda, citizens showed up to express their concerns, having previously been denied time to speak at a prior meeting. Residents, including Cynthia Tansey, emphasized that crucial engineering and impact studies for the massive project remain incomplete, arguing that such a significant development requires thorough evaluation beyond mere promises. Public meetings specifically addressing Project River are anticipated in October, following the next city council meeting scheduled for September 28.
