The Denmark Township Board of Trustees unanimously enacted a one-year moratorium on new data center permits, licenses, and approvals at its May 18 meeting. Supervisor Dan Bauer presided over the meeting where the resolution was approved by a roll call vote, with all board members — Supervisor Dan Bauer, Treasurer Theresa Bauer, Trustee Jim Wilkinson, Trustee Steve Schwab, and Clerk Chris Rogner — voting in favor.

According to the meeting minutes, the temporary moratorium is intended to provide the township's Planning Commission sufficient time to conduct additional research and develop a comprehensive data center ordinance. The board also addressed various other township matters, including budget adjustments, payment reports, fund balances, and the appointment of Angela Reinert to the Reese Library Board.
