Hughesville Borough Council Considers Data Center Ordinance

He advised borough officials on the importance of having such regulations in place, although he noted that an ordinance could not outright prohibit data centers. Officials did not disclose whether any companies are currently interested in developing a data center in Hughesville.
The discussion comes as data center developments are either underway or proposed across Pennsylvania, including nearby areas. For instance, Muncy Township has three data center buildings proposed, and a PNK Group campus in Union County, just north of Allenwood, awaits approval from Gregg Township supervisors.
