Developers have withdrawn their application to build a 256,000 square foot, 50-megawatt co-location data center at 711 Ogden Ave. in Lisle, Illinois. The proposed data center development by Cloud Centers, LLC would have required a special use permit and several zoning variations. Lisle officials announced the withdrawal of the application on Wednesday. The first public hearing on the project in January was postponed due to high resident attendance exceeding the capacity of the village hall. In February, the village was waiting to hear if the developer wanted to proceed with the application. The site has been vacant since the early 2000s when a previous company, The Lockformer Company, closed its doors. Village officials stated they continue to explore additional opportunities for the future redevelopment of the 711 Ogden Ave. site.
