A recent Quinnipiac University Poll, published on July 15, indicates significant public sentiment against AI data centers among Pennsylvania voters. The poll found that a substantial 74% of voters oppose having an AI data center located in their community, while only 16% would support such an initiative. An additional 10% of respondents offered no opinion.

The survey also highlighted a considerable level of public attention to the topic. Approximately 26% of Pennsylvania voters reported following news coverage of AI data centers very closely, and an additional 50% stated they were following it somewhat closely.

Tim Malloy, a polling analyst for Quinnipiac, remarked on the poll's findings, stating, "Nothing artificial about Pennsylvania voters’ take on the advent of AI." He further observed that opposition appears to intensify as the new industry establishes a presence in local neighborhoods.
