The Indiantown Village Council scheduled a November 5 meeting to consider a temporary moratorium on new large-scale data center development. Three data center sites already in progress would be exempt, while litigation involving Silver Fox 606 LLC continues and a judge has blocked a planned zoning appeals hearing.

The Indiantown Village Council voted October 22 to hold a November 5 special meeting for the first reading of an ordinance that would temporarily halt new large-scale data center applications, reviews, approvals and construction. The proposed moratorium has not been enacted, and three sites already under development would be excluded from the restrictions. The duration of the proposed pause and the terms of the exemptions remain unresolved.

The council also urged developers and the village to resolve ongoing litigation. Silver Fox 606 LLC sued the village over its handling of an appeal involving project approvals, and a Martin County circuit judge issued an injunction blocking a planned zoning appeals hearing. Councilwoman Vernestine Williams-Palmer said negotiations should secure tax revenue, infrastructure investment and improvements to Indiantown’s water system for residents.
