Air quality permits OK’d for generators to power Meta
Orla Inc.’s data center near Lebanon and adjacent Life Cycle Power received air-quality permits to operate Indiana’s first off-grid power source for a data center. Life Cycle Power will provide electricity until the facility receives a local utility connection.
Orla Inc.’s data center north of Lebanon, Indiana, and the adjacent Life Cycle Power facility have received approval to operate generators that will provide off-grid electricity. The arrangement is intended as an interim power solution while the data center awaits a connection to the local utility system.
The project is associated with Meta’s data center, which is under construction near Lebanon. The approved system is described as the state’s first off-grid power source for a data center.
