The Tyler Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to consider a permit request for a proposed data center in downtown Tyler. The facility would be situated on West Erwin Street near North Palace Avenue. As part of the city's zoning process, property owners within 200 feet of the proposed site have been notified.
Residents will also have an opportunity to express their concerns during the meeting. If the commission recommends approval, the proposal will then proceed to the Tyler City Council for a final decision. The commission's meeting is set for 1:30 PM this afternoon at City Hall.
