Cleveland City Council is scheduled to vote on an emergency ordinance extending the city's moratorium on data centers. Enacted in July and set to expire Tuesday, the moratorium would remain in place until January if approved.

The Cleveland Planning Commission approved the ordinance the previous week. The proposed extension would give City Council and the city's data center working group additional time to develop policies and regulations governing data center development.
