Google has acquired 38.79 acres of farmland at 7901 E Tillman Road, adjacent to its existing data center site in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Indiana. The company has filed a rezoning application to use this land for a temporary construction staging site, including office spaces for data center contractors, fencing, and landscaping. Hatchworks, LLC, which submitted the proposal, stated the need for a separate temporary site is due to construction logistics and that the proposed use is "respectful to all its neighbors," with plans to remove temporary structures and reseed the property once no longer needed. A public hearing on the rezoning request is scheduled for April 15 at 1:30 p.m. in room 35 of Citizens Square, Fort Wayne. Residents can contact the Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals for more information.
