Loudoun County officials discuss legal case against Amazon data centers at GWU campus
Loudoun County has accepted Amazon's application to build data centers on the George Washington University satellite campus for review. A town hall was held to discuss the proposal, where county officials indicated there is a "very, very strong" legal case against the data centers.
Amazon's proposal for data centers at the George Washington University Virginia Science and Technology Campus in Loudoun County, Virginia, has officially begun its review process with the county. The application was accepted on September 23.
The following day, Supervisor Juli Briskman, representing the Algonkian district, held a town hall meeting at the campus to address concerns regarding the development. During the discussion, county officials reportedly stated there is a "very, very strong" legal case against the proposed data centers.
