The Hudspeth County Commissioners Court discussed the Hueco Ranch data center project after ServerDome Global held a community meeting with residents. The company had previously apologized for beginning work without informing the community, but some residents said the apology and subsequent promises did not resolve their concerns.

ServerDome Global CEO David Keegan said the site was selected because it is separated from the community while remaining close enough to provide local employment. Site leveling was expected to begin in early December, with projected employment of 200 to 300 people, but the company was still waiting for a permit to proceed.
