Regarding data centers, Donalds' "Protecting Ratepayers Act" follows the recent signing of state legislation (SB 484) this year. This law mandates that data centers cover their own utility services and infrastructure expenses, allows for the use of reclaimed water for cooling, and requires large water users (over 100,000 gallons daily) to submit water use and conservation plans. Donalds currently holds a strong lead in both internal and public polling for the Republican Primary, set for August 18, ahead of the General Election on November 3. His campaign has also deployed significant financial resources, spending nearly $7 million in a recent week.
