Moore County’s proposed 12-month pause on processing and approving major and minor residential subdivision applications remains subject to a public hearing and another Metro Council vote expected in December. The moratorium would generally apply to developments of four or more homes, while smaller projects would be excluded.

The Planning and Zoning Commission plans to hold public workshops beginning in February to examine subdivision and development rules. Commissioners also continue to study possible data center regulations with information from the University of Tennessee, but they have not yet sent proposed restrictions to the Metro Council or advanced a separate data center moratorium.
