Reporting from Saint Charles, local leaders have already enacted a permanent ban on data centers within their city, an example of local action in response to the proliferation of data centers throughout Missouri. A bipartisan group of state lawmakers, led by Saint Charles Republican Colin Welland, plans to advance AI and data services legislation in the upcoming legislative session.
