Republican state Rep. Valerie Gaydos, seeking reelection in Pennsylvania’s 44th Assembly District, identified property taxes, energy affordability and health-care costs as her primary priorities. She cited legislation addressing property-tax relief, utility taxes, pharmacy benefit managers and government spending, along with funding secured for local projects and workforce training.

On artificial intelligence and data centers, Gaydos said municipalities should have stronger tools to regulate noise, setbacks, transparency, community engagement and energy requirements. She also backed allowing municipalities to pause proposed developments while evaluating their impacts and argued that data center operators should pay their share of electricity and infrastructure costs rather than shifting them to households and small businesses.
