Missoula County staff will present a draft study on data center impacts during a public meeting at the Missoula County Fairgrounds. Residents will be able to ask questions and provide comments on the county's research and potential responses to data center development.

The Planning, Development and Sustainability Department began the study after Missoula County commissioners adopted a one-year moratorium on new data centers under Montana's interim zoning statutes. The study examines energy consumption, water quantity and quality, air quality, heat, noise and vibration, with a second phase focused on pursuing potential solutions after the study is completed.
