Greg Puriio, a resident of Sterling, Loudoun County, testified about the "intolerable noise" emanating from the nearby Vantage 2 data center. Puriio stated that the facility, which operates on jet turbine power rather than being connected to the electrical grid, has been causing severe disruptions for almost a year. Neighbors are reportedly suffering from headaches and difficulty sleeping, with one HOA board member resorting to soundproofing measures like mattresses against his window and a plexiglass cover.

Puriio highlighted environmental impacts, noting the absence of birds in the area, suggesting they have been driven away by the constant sound. Residents are also concerned about declining property values due to the noise. They are calling for Loudoun County to establish sound monitoring stations, enforce existing noise ordinances, and for local officials Kuran Sainz and Phyllis Randall to organize a community meeting with Vantage to address the issue and discuss when the data center will connect to the grid.
