Claremore data center financial deals include $100 million for school district
Tulsa-based Beal Infrastructure announced a significant financial deal for its Claremore data center, committing over $100 million in payments to local entities including school districts and Rogers County over 25 years. The project is currently undergoing regulatory review by the city. Once approved, a clearer construction timeline is expected.
Tulsa-based Beal Infrastructure made a major announcement regarding the future of a data center project located at the Claremore Industrial Park. The company has finalized financial deals that will see it invest over $100 million in pilot payments or payments in lieu of taxes over 25 years, with an additional $2.5 million by the end of 2027 going to the City of Claremore Community Fund. The total combined payments over the next 30 years are expected to reach $200 million.
The bulk of the initial payments, specifically $74 million, will go to Sequoyah Public Schools, while Oolagah Talala Public Schools will receive $26 million. Superintendent David Wilkins of Oolagah Talala Public Schools expressed enthusiasm, stating the significant increase to their annual operating budget would allow for additional resources and opportunities for students. Other recipients include $20 million for Rogers County, as well as funds for the County Health Board, Talala EMS, and the Fair Board, with the Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) also receiving payments.
The project is now proceeding into regulatory review by the City of Claremore. Once this review is approved, the company anticipates a clearer construction timeline for the data center.
