APC passes 12-month data center moratorium

The Grant County Area Plan Commission approved a resolution on Oct. 15 establishing a temporary moratorium on data center applications in Grant County, Indiana. The moratorium may remain in effect for up to 12 months.

During the moratorium, the commission plans to complete and recommend a data center ordinance for consideration and approval by the county. The action followed a special meeting and public hearing on the proposed pause.
