Hancock County Supervisors to Consider Data Center Rezoning and Zoning Rules
The Hancock County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to discuss MCNI, LLC's petition to rezone 724.26 acres in Concord Township from agricultural to industrial for a proposed data center. Supervisors will also consider whether data centers should be classified as conditional uses while the county updates its zoning ordinance.
The Hancock County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to discuss a petition from MCNI, LLC to rezone 724.26 acres in sections 16, 21 and 28 of Concord Township from agricultural to industrial use. The proposed rezoning would support development of a data center.
Supervisors are also expected to discuss amending the county's zoning ordinance so data centers would be classified as conditional uses rather than permitted uses during the ordinance update. The agenda does not indicate that the rezoning petition or ordinance amendment will receive a final decision at this meeting.
