Makayla Davis reported that she spoke with several community members who conveyed feelings ranging from anger and indifference to significant worry about the potential consequences for their neighborhood. Resident Karmen Rivers voiced concerns about pollution, stating, "We don't want our area polluted."
One unnamed resident, who has lived in the area for 40 years, indicated that the proposed data center would be situated close to his property. He emphasized the lack of public studies on the project's environmental impact, raising specific concerns about light pollution, noise pollution, runoff, and water usage. He noted that developers have already begun marking land in the community, leading him to consider selling property he had intended to pass down to his children.
