SNOW Janesville, a neighborhood watchdog group, is raising concerns about proposed changes to the City of Janesville's zoning code. They argue that the new 300-page code would restrict public input during the review process for data center projects. The group fears this could limit transparency in how the city's administration and plan commission vet future developments.

The neighborhood watchdog organization, SNOW Janesville, has voiced strong concerns regarding the proposed overhaul of the City of Janesville's zoning code. According to the group, the extensive 300-page reboot includes new regulations that appear designed to curtail public participation during the critical phases when the city's administration and plan commission evaluate potential data center developments.

SNOW Janesville argues that such limitations on public input could undermine transparency and accountability in the decision-making process for significant projects. This comes as City of Janesville Economic Development Director Jimsi Kuborn has been involved with local advisory boards, such as the GM-JATCO Redevelopment Advisory Board, discussing future site developments.
