The Cedar Point Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing for July 20th at village hall to consider new regulations affecting data centers and warehouses. During the hearing, the commission will evaluate a motion to implement a six-month moratorium on the processing and approval of permits for such facilities.

Public comments, both written and in person, are invited and can also be submitted to Village Attorney Jacob Frost in Spring Valley prior to the hearing. Local radio station 103.9 WLPO indicated that there are no known existing applications for data centers or warehouses in Cedar Point, and has sought further information from Attorney Frost regarding the rationale behind the proposed moratorium.
