The Bernards Township Committee has unanimously adopted a new ordinance that bans data centers within the township. The vote, cast by Mayor Ana Duarte McCarthy, Deputy Mayor John Tompkins, and Committee members Jennifer Asay and Brett Hodges, was 4-0 on Tuesday, June 23.

The proposed ban received no opposition from the public during the committee meeting. Committeeman Andrew McNally was absent from the vote.
