Bernards Township Committee unanimously adopted an ordinance on June 23 to ban data centers within the township. The proposed ban faced no opposition from the public during its consideration.

The Bernards Township Committee has unanimously adopted a new ordinance that bans data centers within the township. The vote, cast by Mayor Ana Duarte McCarthy, Deputy Mayor John Tompkins, and Committee members Jennifer Asay and Brett Hodges, was 4-0 on Tuesday, June 23.

The proposed ban received no opposition from the public during the committee meeting. Committeeman Andrew McNally was absent from the vote.
