A new data center project has been proposed for Carroll County, Kentucky, with expectations of bringing new revenue to the community. However, the proposal is also accompanied by concerns from some residents.

To facilitate the project, the City of Carrollton and Carrollton Utilities are selling property located in Green’s Bottom. This specific site is situated between the regional sewage treatment plant, the Kentucky River, and I-71.

The Carrollton Mayor has indicated that the chosen location is strategic. He highlighted that the site is secluded, offers readily available access to necessary utilities, and is sufficiently distanced from most residential homes, making it a suitable area for the data center development.
