Stafford County supervisors Deuntay Diggs and Kecia Evans will hold a town hall about several proposed data center projects after a Planning Commission hearing was postponed. The four southeastern Stafford proposals would add 11 million square feet across 48 buildings, while county staff recommended denying nearly all related applications; a separate Accokeek Center project was approved despite public opposition.

Stafford County supervisors Deuntay Diggs and Kecia Evans are hosting a Sunday town hall at White Oak Fire Station to address residents’ questions and concerns about data center development. The event follows the postponement of a Planning Commission hearing on the Forest Lane, Simms Farm and Sisson North and South proposals in southeastern Stafford County.

The projects would encompass 1,405 acres, 48 buildings, 11 million square feet of data center space and 14 electric substations. County staff recommended denial of nearly all associated applications, with public hearings rescheduled for Nov. 18. The meeting also comes after the Board of Supervisors approved the 590,000-square-foot Accokeek Center project by a 4-3 vote, despite more than 30 speakers—most opposed—addressing the public hearing.
