Petersburg leaders are calling for more transparency from city administrators, after many said they only learned of four city data center projects from a local news outlet.

Four data centers are being planned for Petersburg, and two already had their site plans approved by the city's planning commission. But at a recent city council meeting, several members said they had only learned about the projects after an article was published detailing them by Richmond BizSense, and some expressed frustration at being left out of those plans.
