Big Digital Energy, 10NetZero Close Texas Site Acquisition for 300 MW AI Data Center Campus

Big Digital Energy and 10NetZero have finalized a joint venture to acquire an approximately 50-acre industrial site in Hood County, Texas, advancing plans for a 300-megawatt artificial intelligence and high-performance computing data center campus. The property, located less than 40 miles from the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, is now a controlled development asset, responding to the accelerating demand for AI-ready data center locations.

The site currently boasts 17 megawatts of operational power, with potential for a phased expansion to 111 megawatts of grid capacity, subject to validation by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). Additionally, existing natural gas infrastructure allows for the integration of behind-the-meter power generation, which could increase the total capacity to approximately 300 megawatts. This strategy aligns with a broader industry trend of securing sites that combine immediate power availability with opportunities for future on-site generation, reducing reliance on constrained utility interconnections.

Phil Stanley, CEO of Big Digital Energy, stated that the acquisition is a crucial step in building the company's AI infrastructure platform, transitioning the Hood County project from a prospective opportunity to a secured development. Big Digital has retained Northland Capital Markets to explore financial strategies and is actively engaged in discussions with potential development partners and customers for the planned campus.

The project further enhances 10NetZero's Digital Midstream platform, which focuses on converting natural gas into electricity for energy-intensive computing applications. Both companies are positioned to meet the escalating needs of hyperscale technology and enterprise AI operators, with the transaction highlighting the critical role of power access as a competitive advantage in the AI infrastructure market.
