The Nashville Zoo has announced its rejection of a proposal from DC BLOX for a data center project near its property. Zoo officials informed News 2 that the zoo's board of directors unanimously voted against a proposed memorandum of understanding during an emergency meeting.
The proposal from DC BLOX sought to build a 69,000 square foot data center. This specific plan would have also eliminated a previous proposal for a larger facility and included the return of some land to the zoo. Despite these concessions, the board opted to decline the agreement.
