Festus officials reach proposed deal with CRG on $6B data center

The City of Festus, Missouri, has announced a proposed development agreement with CRG for a significant $6 billion data center project. This facility, planned for 360 acres off Highway 67 and Highway CC, would represent one of Jefferson County's largest private investments, according to Festus Mayor Sam Richards. Key provisions of the agreement stipulate that CRG will ensure the unnamed technology tenant covers all energy costs, preventing them from being passed to residents, through a binding agreement with Ameren Missouri. Additionally, CRG committed to funding all necessary water and sewer infrastructure improvements and street upgrades, guaranteeing no negative impact on the city's water supply. The deal still requires final approval.
