This meeting is prompted by an anticipated request from Engineered Land Solutions, which plans to file for an 1,800-acre data center in Stokes County within the next 30 days. The proposed site for the data center is along Tuttle Road northeast of Walnut Cove.
Public sentiment, as expressed by local resident Bill Petree of Walnut Cove, indicates opposition to the development, stating "I'd rather pay more in taxes. This ain't good."
