LaGrange, Georgia – On Friday afternoon, LaGrange fire crews responded to a Google Data Center construction site on Pegasus Parkway following a report of an injured worker. First responders arrived at 2:47 p.m. to find a worker injured on a roof approximately 50 feet above ground level.
The LaGrange Fire Department, in coordination with the LaGrange Police Department and Troup County AMR, undertook a challenging high-altitude rescue. They first stabilized the worker on the roof before safely lowering them using an aerial platform. A medical helicopter then transported the patient to a trauma center, where they are listed in serious but stable condition.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding the cause of the worker's injury or their identity. The LaGrange Fire Department issued a statement commending the coordinated efforts of all involved agencies for ensuring a safe and efficient rescue from the elevated environment.
