Amazon has announced plans for its third data center in Shreveport, Louisiana, confirming a significant expansion of its operations in the region. This new facility will be situated within Shreveport's Resilient Technology Park.

The company stated it would cover all necessary water and wastewater infrastructure requirements for the project. This latest announcement brings Amazon's total investment in Northwest Louisiana to $18 billion, following previous plans in February to construct data centers across Caddo and Bossier Parishes.

Louisiana Economic Development reported that Amazon intends to spend $400 million on public water infrastructure to support its data center operations. The new campuses are projected to create 700 new jobs in the area.
