The Greeley City Council will review a pre-annexation agreement with data center developer Global AI during an upcoming special meeting. The resolution, if approved, would mandate that Global AI annex its prospective data center into the City of Greeley's jurisdiction; failure to do so would result in the loss of water access for the facility.

The special city meeting, focused solely on the Global AI agreement, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Council Chambers at City Center South. It will be immediately followed by the regular work session, where the council will address other items, including automated license plate readers and drone technology, topics that have previously drawn public privacy concerns.

While the public is invited to attend both sessions in person or remotely, the work session portion of the meeting will not be open for public comment. Agendas and remote access details are available online.
