A public meeting was held at the Ralls County Courthouse concerning a potential data center development. Approximately 100 residents attended the meeting alongside county commissioners and members of the County Planning and Zoning Board, with residents largely expressing their displeasure regarding the proposal.
Ralls County Western District Commissioner John Wieczorek stated that no land purchase agreement has yet been finalized between the unnamed data center company and a landowner. Additionally, a moratorium has been signed, providing the county with at least one year to make a decision on the data center project.
