Dallas Market Hall could be redeveloped into data center
Dallas Market Hall, a longtime event space just north of downtown Dallas, may soon be redeveloped into a data center. Owner Crow Holdings is evaluating strategic redevelopment options and recently filed zoning documents reference plans for a five-story data center near the Market Hall site. While Crow Holdings has explored redevelopment for 15 years, they have not yet confirmed the data center plan.
The Dallas Market Hall, a prominent event space located just north of downtown Dallas on Interstate 35, is slated for redevelopment, with a data center being a potential replacement. The venue is hosting its final scheduled event this weekend, as its owner, Crow Holdings, ceased booking events months ago to explore strategic redevelopment options.
Crow Holdings had previously announced a large data center project on 40 acres along the Stemmons Corridor in January, without specifying an exact location. However, recently discovered zoning documents, including one filed this week, explicitly reference plans for a five-story data center near the Market Hall site.
Dallas Market Center, in a statement, acknowledged that Crow Holdings has been exploring redevelopment options for the property, including Market Hall, for the past 15 years. However, the company would not officially confirm that a data center would ultimately replace the existing structure.
