Plans to build a mid-size data center in Pike Township are on hold after the developer withdrew its proposal amid growing neighborhood opposition. American Tower Corporation pulled its project from Indianapolis’ zoning process this week, temporarily halting plans to build near 79th Street and Township Line Road. The proposal had been set to go before a hearing examiner as part of the city’s zoning review. For nearby residents, the move brought relief. “We did it,” said Richard Vonder Meulen, who lives directly across from the proposed site.
