A massive data center is being built near a historic Black cemetery in the Metro Atlanta area.

A proposed massive data center project near Fairburn, Georgia, in the Metro Atlanta area, is facing significant community opposition. The development is planned for land located across the street from the historic O'Neal AME Church, adjacent to its almost forgotten cemetery, which serves as the burial site for African-Americans born before, during, and after the Civil War.

Residents are pushing back against the development due to its proximity to the culturally significant burial ground.
