The City of Clinton, Mississippi, along with Hinds County leaders, marked the official groundbreaking for a new Amazon data center. The facility will be housed in the long-vacant Delphi building, located within the Clinton Industrial Park, a site that has been empty for nearly two decades.
Officials from Amazon and the local government emphasized the substantial economic benefits this project is expected to bring to the community. They highlighted that the data center will generate hundreds of temporary jobs during its construction phase, and nearly a third of the subcontractor partners involved are Mississippi-based businesses, ensuring that investment circulates directly into the state and local economies.
