The Harford County Council voted unanimously Tuesday night in favor of an amendment to consider a bill to ban data centers as emergency legislation.
In response to a Bill No. 26-005, which would have enacted a 180-day moratorium on approvals for data centers, Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly submitted Bill No. 26-011 on May 6 to the County Council that would permanently prohibit data centers.
